1929 Fairchild 71 NC9135

Although only a few examples still exist as piles of wreckage, this airplane is only one of two Fairchild 71s currently flying.

This aircraft was owned by Braniff Airlines in 1930, and then sold to American Airways Inc., then Lincoln Air Service, and later to Fairchild Aerial Surveys, Inc. Fairchild Aerial Surveys operated the aircraft for 18 years.

The airplane has gone through refurbishment by the Port Townsend Aero Museum over an 18 month period, from early 2009 to late 2010.
