First manufactured in 1925, the factory continued to sell various models into 1930. More than 1200 Travel Airs were built, and as of 2006, 165 were still listed on FAA records. Today, they are very popular for giving rides, with two passengers in the front cockpit and the pilot in the rear cockpit.

This dark blue and cream airplane is on long–term loan and has been permanently grounded by the owner. The engine is a very rare Wright J–4, the predecessor to the J–5 which was used on Lindbergh's flight to Paris.
